INDUSTRIAL & BUSINESS PERSONAL PROPERTY APPRAISER
HLL&A is currently accepting resumes for the position of Industrial and Business Personal Property Appraiser I. Responsibilities include inspection and appraisal of assigned properties for designated counties, rendition processing, conducting taxpayer hearings, and answering taxpayer inquiries. College degree and some business experience, excellent communication skills, clean driving record, and MS Office fluency required. Must be able to successfully complete a driving and criminal background check, as well as, meet all state requirements for successful registration with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. In certain circumstances the college degree requirement may be waived for an individual with either (1) an RPA and current active registration with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, or (2) prior military service with honorable discharge and other requirements met. Preferred qualifications include college degree in engineering, prior appraisal district experience, working toward a Registered Professional Appraiser designation, or currently a RPA. Applicant must be able to work well within a team toward the accomplishment of strict deadlines and company goals. Some travel and is required. Salary range will be contingent upon qualifications and commensurate with experience.
